1. Why do I need decaffeinated tea?
Tea contains caffeine which may affect
certain people, especially when consumed
in large quantities. Caffeine may
increase the risk of heart disease in
certain people. It is a diuretic and loss
of calcium may lead to osteo arthritis.
Too much caffeine could lead to Anxiety,
Excitability, Restlessness, Dizziness,
Irritability, Concentration problems,
Stomach aches, Headaches and Sleeping
problems. Caffeine could be addictive
as well.
Decaffeinated tea overcomes probems
associated with caffeine.

What is Novo’s track record?

Is the product safe and pure?
In any processed food or beverage, the
process is of utmost importance for safety
and purity parameters. Novo has chosen
the safest process available for tea decaffeination
- the Super Critical Fluid Extraction
(SCFE) process. Super Critical Carbon
Dioxide process has been acclaimed as
the process of the future or the ‘natural’
process of decaffeination since no organic
chemical solvent is used. CO2 exclusively
dissolves caffeine and leaves most of
the healthful catechins (the ones that
fight cancer, cardiovascular disease etc)
in the tea. CO2 adds no flavor of its
own and leaves zero residue. Caffeine
content is brought down to less than 0.4%
by weight. Moisture content to 5%.

How is Novo’s decaf different?
Novo adds taste to decaf tea through a
unique process (patent pending) where
flavor and aroma are extracted before
decaffeination and subsequently re-impregnanted
after the process. The process merely
takes caffeine out of the tea. Not taste,
flavor, aroma, richness, color and body
along with.

Is it the best deal then?

quality and consistency from raw material

organoleptic evaluation of taste smell,
